I have been SO hot the past few weeks. Granted, it is burning up outside but its not an external hot thats affecting me. It can be cold inside my house but I cannot for the life of me, get cooled down. I've been taking cold baths, keeping fans on me-like directly on me-at night without covers etc and though those things help temporarily, the heat continues soon after. I have been trying to get my metabolism pumped the past few weeks by adding significant calories. Could this have anything to do with that?

What supplements are you taking?

Sparrow - I haven't read much on this site yet, so I don't know what big changes you've made lately...

When I quit smoking I had a lot of toxic issues (that's what I call them...), one of the issues I had was hot flashes. I dealt with low blood sugar, migraines, hot flashes, and other issues like that.

Just a thought.

Well I'm 28 so rule out thost hot flashes :O
I take no supplements, not even a multi or flax (yes I know I should)
I've never smoked and I don't drink
I've changed nothing but my diet by upping cals and doing more strength training and I do that in the morning so it can't be that hot you have for a bit after working out.

Its pretty irritating.

I don't know if this is it or not... but depending on how tall you are... your body might want more fat. You have a low body fat % for women. I'd try letting up a bit and increasing body fat to see if that helps.

You should not be feeling like this. It could be your body telling you that it is uncomfortable. Consider talking with a doctor too. Not sure if I said that already.

I'm 5'6.

This has happened in the past when I trained for things like running or swimming races so I've wondered if its an overtraining symptom or increased heat due to increased metabolism. maybe neither. Its gotten better since I've posted this but I'll keep an eye on it.

i'd see the doctor to rule out any health issues. good luck with it.

um could it be your thyroid ? if my body suddenly started acting that way i'd get it checked out

I was just thinking that. Ask you doctor for what is called a "thyroid panel", which is more than just one blood test. More than just tsh. Also, make sure that you are getting enough water. Is this a symptom of dehydration? If you are working yourself harder, then you need lots more water.

Im with actspire..dehydration? Your body needs water to regulate it's temperature. Are you consuming adequate amounts of water?
