I know some of you have not enjoyed your week of calorie counting, and have been looking forward to the end of this week so that you can stop. But, it's not over yet. This week's bonus is to set a 300-calorie caloric range goal and stay within it. Your calorie range can be whatever you want it to be, as long as your minimum is at least 1300 calories. There is no maximum. You'll get 3pts each day you stay within your range. For example, my range will be 1550-1850 calories per day.

I hope those of you who dislike counting calories will stick with this. I promise that after this week there will be no more bonuses that require calorie counting. :)

OK...well, that won't be too awful...since I have fallen basically in a 300 calorie range this week anyway.

Well done Bikini! For me this is like a college course. I have just learned to stick to counting and now step 2 will be to control my too changable intake. :gnorsi:
 
Good challange because I am usually around 1100-1200 and this will help with upping my calories a LITTLE like I have been wanting to try.Tammy

This bonus (or any bonus, for that matter) isn't to drive people crazy or annoy them. It's done with helping them to lose weight in mind. Ask Steve-weight loss is pretty much about calories in v calories out. Taking in less than you expend. However, our bodies get used to the reduced calories amount over time. That's why very low cal dieting is usually not a long term solution. Hence the 1300 minimum. This week's challenge is to help you set a realistic and sustainable goal, and to meet it everyday for a week. I know I usually have at least one day a week where I go over what I want to eat. This way (since pts are on the line), I'm much more likely to stay within that goal range. I hope the rest of you are, too. :)

Glad you like this one. That's exactly what I had in mind with these two bonuses. Some of you might decide to continue trying to meet this week's challenge even after the week is over. There are lots of newbies in this challenge along with us old timers..hehe, and I want to make these bonuses helpful to you. I know some of you don't find them helpful, but i can't please everyone all of the time. :D I'm sure that there will be future bonuses that will please those who are unhappy with this one. ;)
 
Just a note--you have a 20-calorie grace period. This is for everyone. So if your calories are within 20 calories of your min and max, you get your pts.
 
This one could be a little tough for me. Some days I fall short of where I should be. I'm going to try my best to stay within the range because I want to rack up those points.

Before joining this forum my main problem was that I often ate tooooo much between 8pm and 10pm after supper. I stopped doing that, ate correctly (without counting calories) and lost many pounds in october....

I guess that the term "challenge" will have his full meaning with me this week!:)
It can't be bad!!

Not many men seem to be in this challenge, any other dudes will struggle with the calorie counting???

I think you'll find that the women outweigh the men on this forum (no pun intended..lol). Good luck staying within your calorie range this week. :)

A NOTE TO EVERYONE--I'VE NOTICED SOME OF YOU HAVE CALORIE RANGES THAT ARE MORE OR LESS THAN 300 CALORIES. THIS NEEDS TO BE CHANGED. YOUR CALORIE RANGE MUST BE 300--NO MORE OR LESS. EX. 1400-1700, 1700-2000. NOT 1300-1500 OR 1400-1900. THANKS!

LOL, not really. I am fortunate enough to be using the "Body-for-Life" diet for the next 12 weeks, so I am following it to the letter. I am in the 2300-2600 range.
