HIITing Only?

I've done both SS and HIIT, and I prefer doing HIIT, at least for the next few months or more if possible. I just find that HIIT is more my style of training then SS.

My Question:

Can I just do HIIT? If I space my training out properly? Or would it be too much and I'd overtrain? Has this been done often?

I use a stationary bike and I'm in average shape. I reach MHR each time. No muscle soreness, and without warmup/cooldown my sessions last 6 minutes (30s on/30 off).

You shouldn't worry about overtraining. As long as you aren't soar/aching/getting joint pain, you are fine. Make sure you are getting a full nights sleep and eating a lot of good food. If you do that you can do HIIT 7 days a week if you want.

Thanks lime,

I think 7 days a week would be overkill for me. Sometimes I have to space the workouts with 3 days off inbetween so my rhr is lowered again. It's certainly taxing, but I've seen awesome benefits from it, especially mood and concentration benefits. :)

I'll post back in a couple of weeks to show the results.
