When I looked at the listings for high school/college athletes in America and at their height/weight etc, I couldn't help but think some of them looked well off. There are, for example, loads of high school football players who are listed as 230lbs/6'3, yet really don't look much bigger than 6'1/190. As a member of the varsity rugby team at my school I play with/against tons of guys who look just as big as some of these American football players but are 30lbs + lighter in cases. Not to mention even NFL players are listed about the same, in general, as high school kids, yet they look twice as big.
If you compare these guys to people like Steve Redgrave who was about 6'4, 220lbs during his rowing days, things just don't add up. Are HS/college athlete's stats exaggerated then?
