High intensity aerobics

High intensity aerobics is more beneficial than steady state cardio. Try doing 30 seconds of all-out effort, followed by 80 seconds of rest for 10 intervals, that adds up to only 5 minutes of actual exertion, but you will burn more calories, improve your aerobic capacity and your metabolic rate will stay higher for much longer.

Actually Tabata training is done for 30 seconds full effort (100%) and 10 seconds of rest for 8 rounds (total 4 minutes).

It is true what you mentioned about the benefits. But it is important to take note that this is not for beginners. It is designed for people who are already fit. You should start with caution. If you are a beginner at this use your common sense, start slow and raise the tempo as you are getting better at it.
