Hi so my name is Ashley,

I've been on a weight loss journey for about four years now I use to be 338lbs and now I'm currently sitting at 240lbs. I'm trying to get to under 200lbs. I have always been overweight and I'm an emotional eater, i started working out because i was depressed of the life I was leading. I started with an all womens circuit gym which got boring and wasn't giving me as good of results as I was hoping for. I then switched to zumba and i started dropping weight so fast. But then I plateau'd then i started doing different boot camps, and finally came across crossfit. Fell in love with crossfit but then my crossfit gym closed... so now i'm just doing a normal gym with a trainer every couple days. I'm trying to get badass it's no longer really about the weightloss it's about building my muscles and building my confidence and self love. My biggest problem on this journey is diet and how many hours should i be working out/how many calories a day should i be burning? i joined this forum to just meet others who are on the same journey and to get people's insight on what they are doing. When doing these kind of journeys if you're alone doing it it gets kind of lonely!
Nice to meet you all :)

Hi ashley, has your trainer got you on an sort of diet plan ?

Ashley,

Don't allow plateaus to ever discourage you. Think about how much more your able to do today versus when your weight was higher. It's a whole body lifestyle transformation journey. Amazing on accomplishing so much Ashley. Way to be a badass!

Hi ashley, has your trainer got you on an sort of diet plan ?

She says she can't give me one cause it's illegal cause she's not a registered dietician so I'm kind of trying to just research myself. I did paleo and weightwatchers. Weight watchers was way too focused on the scale then I was liking and paleo was really strict but it was the best diet for my weight loss so yeah lol

Hey Ashbabe, great job on losing so much weight! How did that feel for you?
I've never paid attention to calories but at my age, I've learned to.
You want to make sure to burn more calories than you're taking in -- that'll result in burning fat and losing weight and inches.
I agree. Love this forum to make this weight loss journey a team sport.
Look forward to hearing more of your story.
~Allison
