Welcome to the forum first of all!
Second, I'm sorry to hear of your struggle, but fear not you CAN lose weight without exercise. If you wake up and laid in bed all day, you'd still be burning calories to keep you alive. So you're going to burn calories regardless, you just have to make wise choices when it comes to the food you'll take in. I've been a couch potato for two months and lost a considerable amount of weight. What did you have in mind when it comes to your eating habits going forward? I can recommend things from my own personal experience, but really it comes down to what fits you.
This might be what a typical week looks like for me. I change it up to fit my macros.
Monday:
Breakfast (7-8 AM): Bulletproof coffee. (1-2 tablespoons of butter, 1 tablespoon of coconut oil.) Pretty filling and eats up about 300 calories.
Lunch (1-2 PM): Chicken breast, hard sharp cheddar cheese, egg, broccoli.
Dinner (5-6 PM): Any type of meat, any hard cheese, broccoli or cauliflower.
Snack if necessary for my macros (6 PM): Piece or two of a fat bomb.
Tuesday:
Breakfast: Two eggs, piece of meat.
Rest of the day = same as Monday.
Wednesday:
Intermittent fasting until 5.
Dinner and fat bomb before 6.
Thursday-Sunday repeat mixing and matching of the above. The longer I stay in keto, the better so I stay away from high carb/processed food. So I plan my week out based on that.
I'm on a more strict version of the keto diet so this works for me. I keep my carbs down in the 20 and below, total range. Pretty much no sugar. It's a low carb, high fat diet. It's the good fat and it fills you up much longer, causing you to eat less. I can still make everything that others are eating. I have to make my own bread but that is okay, plenty of easy recipes out there. And I fast twice a week for 23 hours. But 14-16 hours is fine as well (let's just say you'll sleep 7-8 hours and only have to not eat for another 6-7 hours, not too difficult). Just helps keep me in check.
This is just for me. It really depends on the type of lifestyle you choose to indulge and what works best for you. Has to be a lifestyle choice, otherwise you'll fall into old habits if you aren't making yourself aware.
