hi

hey...i posted in 'the club' forum but it may not belong there so i want to ask a question in here aswell and hope i get some help.

I am 120kg and i am looking to lose weight. Im not sure of "calorie" in-take and need some help with learning about that. For example i want to start exercising and eating healthy but i have no idea how much calories i should be having?

Is there a reccomended amount of CAL you should have a day?

And what is the best option to lose weight.

I have no problem with exercising as i like some physical activity so that wont be a problem...its just the diet that is the big hurdle.

Hi there,
no one can simply tell you on a forum what the right number of calories for you is. There are calorie calculators online, but they are NOT reliable and it can be a bad idea to go by them. I design nutrition programs for people online and before I ever eecommend a specific calorie range I do a thorough assessment because there are countless things to factor in to comeone's calorie level.

Do you know how many calories you are eating now? That's the best place to start. Figure out how many you are eating and then you could try making small decreases from there and see what happens. It's best to keep calorie decreases very minor. Dropping too low all of a sudden can be counter productive.

Also, keep in mind that WHAT you eat is just as important for weight loss and HOW MUCH you eat. Let me know if I can help at all.

Sarah
