Hi-

I am 27, 5'6" and honestly I'm not sure exactly what I weigh, but it's in the 160-170 range. I was up at 170 a couple of years ago but whittled that down to 150 or 155. Even though I lost the weight, it wasn't in a healthy manner. I worked at Culvers, where I got exercise by running drive thru orders out for two hours or more over lunch or dinner, but on my break I would eat a bacon double cheeseburger and fries. That filled me up for the rest of my shift, but then I would feel guilty and wouldn't eat much of anything else the rest of the day. When I wasn't at work I would be happy sleeping or sitting around reading or watching TV. My energy level was shot.

I left that job last June and have gained the weight back because my new job is pretty sedintary and other staff persons like to make brownies and cake and the like, which I then eat because its there. In general my eating habits aren't good, as I am also a busy college student who often feels she doesn't have time for food. I know that if I don't eat I don't have any energy, and the fastest options are not that healthy!! I feel stuck. I try to eat smaller portions when I'm cooking for the people I support (I provide residential support for developmentaly disabled adults) but then I'm hungry 1.5 to 2 hours later!

I'm on this kick now because I just went shopping and realized I've gone up almost two pants sizes, which isn't acceptable. My problem areas are my thights and tummy, so if anyone can tell me what the best exercises I can do w/o a gym are that would be great! I'm not a big exerciser, but the last three days I have gone for a walk for about 40 minutes.

I'm in southern Wisconsin. If there is anyone out there in the same area, I could use a buddy to exercise with for motivation.

Thanks,

Jen
