I've been looking around and thought I'd introduce myself.
I am currently overweight... pretty seriously overweight, and I've decided that I really want to do something about it now. I need all the help I can get!!
I've always enjoyed exercising, but go on and off the wagon sometimes. Currently I do water aerobics, some weight lifting, and the eliptical trainer or the recumbant bike at the gym.
I eat too much!! That's all there is to that. I've tried to gradually make better choices, whole wheat rather than white, cutting out sodas & fast food (only moderately successful here), and trying to eat more fruits & veggies. But food is my weakness.
Four or five years ago I went gung-ho on a diet & exercise program and actually lost quite a bit of weight. Unfortunately I did some unspecified damage to my knee and have had serious knee pain ever since (been to all the doctors, had all the tests - nothing they can do about it ) This really limits the amount of exercise I can do, and led directly to me gaining all the weight + more back.
I'm hoping this will be someplace I can find support, encouragement & advice to keep me on track. Thanks in advance!
