Hello lovely lady - welcome to the forum! I'd suggest popping over to the weight loss diary section. It's more active than the rest of the forum and we are a friendly bunch xx

Hi Theresa.

My name is Neil.

I've had a lot of recent success with my weight. I'm trying to share my ideas and tips with anyone who wants to know. I have started my own blog with lots of information. I'm adding to this regularly.

If you are interested in my help I would love to hear from you.

Neil
Thanks so much Neil...would really appreciate ur opinion...Am not overweight, but heavier than I ve ever been. Have changed my diet dramatically, but, even though I lost four pounds the first week, am now losing, on average, a pound a week. Just want to know if this is good, or should I be doing more? Would really appreciate ur opinion. :)

Any weight loss is good. If you aren't considered overweight and are losing 1 lb / week, that can be a lot, but will probably start to slow down / stop very soon. Just make sure that it's not just from not eating. If you are eating too few of calories, than you are probably losing muscle mass more than fat, which is how people end up in yo-yo cycles. Without muscle, you are losing your ability to burn calories. Once you go back to eating "normally" again, you will be burning less calories due to the loss in muscle mass. Weight loss should come from exercise, as much as it should come from reducing your calories.

Hey allcdnboy, I am starting to understand what u mean. A pound a week is good for me, as I'm not overweight, so I should be thankful. I just want to be healthy....my bmi was , 'poor', so I am trying to improve that.:)
