Hi, I'm new to all this

Hello all, I'm new to the forums and dieting/excersicing. So anyway, I'm really trying to lose some weight just because I'm not hapy at my weight right now (169 at 5'6") I just had my physical the other day and I'm not unhealthy, I run around with my friends I play basketball, I ran track alst year and stuff, I just want to slim down :). There's my introduction it's very nice to meet all of you. Also, if you want to help me out, I have a couple of questions please visit my other thread :).
