Hi, I'm actually Kristina but I accidentally misspelled my username. I do not have 8 children, that's my family size. 5 girls and 1 boy. I am new to this weight loss thing, I have never needed to diet before. Actually when I was a teenager I was so skinny I tried to gain weight and couldn't untill I eventually quit gymnastics. My weight does not fluctuate easily. After my first 3 children I went back to pre weight without any effort on my part. After the last 3 each pregnancy left a little more than the one before until now I find I am 25-30 pounds overweight. I've tried cutting back, but just as when I was a kid eating more didn't work either. Guess I'm going to have to exercise. Ugh!

Well, anyway I need lots of support and even more encouragement. I'm bigger than I've ever been. Heavier than when I was pregnant with my first 3 children(Oh, How depressing).

I'm new too!

Hi there! I'm new to this site too! and you sound a little like me. I don't have as many little ones as you do, but I just had my first baby boy about 9 months ago. I have about 15-20 to loose, and maybe we can encourage eachother!

I loose focus after a few weeks, and no results, so I'm hoping to stick with it a little longer.

What is your plan of attack??

Hello Raina!

Not sure of my plan as of yet. I read about increasing water intake, and that is definately something I want and need to do, But remembering to drink instead of eat is going to be difficult for me. Every time I go to the kitchen to get a drink I end up eating something instead. I have a bad habit of only drinking with my meals. Juice with Breakfast, Milk with Lunch and Supper. That just about sums up my fluids. I just bought some gr. leaf lettuce so I'm also hoping to incorporate more salads into my diet. I love them but never think to make them. As far as excercise I have a treadmill but no plan of attack.

How is it coming? Are you as excited as you were the other day? I'm on day 4 of working REALLY hard and eating as well as I possibly can. I'm an immediate gratification kinda gal, so I'm already looking for more. I have decided to only weigh myself once a week. Mondays, and so I'm dying for Monday to come. I guess that will keep me working hard until then.
Someone told me that I should start a diary here on the site. I think I will if I can get to next week.
Keep me posted on how you are doing! Keep it up, i'm sure we can do this!

Welcome to the site Kristina. Don't get depressed I use to feel the same way, but just like you did not put on the weight over night, it is not going to come off overnight. Drink more water. To avoid going to the fridge often, chill a large bottle of water, so you have to make less trips to the fridge. Also, start a diary.

I'm not sure how it's coming I have decided on Sundays to check my weight. So, we'll see. I'm not doing as good on my water as I had planned but I have cut back on portions(which by the way usually doesn't help me). I need to start on the treadmill, but I did decide to walk to the pool today instead of drive, it only takes about 7 min. though, but I guess every little bit helps. And I have started parking at the end of the parking lots of stores to get a little extra walking in. Keep me posted on your progress as well. Going to go get some water now.Bye.
 
Kris ~ You are definitely off to a great start! Parking at the end of the parking lot is EXTRA walking time. I am now getting back in the habit of that (now that summer is here). Like I said, every bit helps!!

As far as water goes, take it everywhere. Ya know, like you would a cell phone! LOL I do, and when I forget my water, I feel lost. haha

Welcome to the forum! There are lots of supportive people here who have great ideas. You should start a diary so we can get to know you better. :D
