Hi I'm new here...

:D Thought I better get round to posting as I have been perusing this board a lot lately...

Weight was never an issue for me till I got married 6 years ago, I was a typical skinny kid, who never had to worry about what I ate...well that all caught up with me.

Two kids later at 30 I feel I have denied my weight gain a little, mainly because it is not really an issue with anyone but myself.

As most of you probably can relate to I have been on and off 'diets' for a little while now, I lose some, only to gain it back. I have now committed to a lifestyle change rather than a diet. I actually think I am quite a compulsive eater, and eat out of habit rather than need.

Anyway have been on the 'diet' for a week now, what actually scared me into it was the fact that I have been jogging 6 days a week for the last 2 months and have managed to gain 4kg...needless to say my intake is to great! I have now committed to exercising 5 - 7 days a week, and keeping a real handle on what I eat.

I want to get to the stage where I can treat myself without overeating and falling back into bad patterns.

I am 5ft 7 ...My goal weight is 70kg ( 154lbs) for now.... my current weight is 80kg (176lbs), so 22lb (10kg) of weightloss to go. Sorry if the conversion is a little of I live in New Zealand and have no idea about lbs.

Hi! Glad your joining us!!

You sound like you have the right attitude! When It comes to looseing weight you just have to make the decision to eat right and excersize, every day, Its not something that comes easily.

BUT it sounds like your on the right path!! Keep it up! Let me know if you have any questions :D
 
Yipeee, weighed myself this morning and have lost 2.5kg in a week, so feeling pretty pleased with myself...my goal was 1kg as I want to do this in small steps...
