Hi i am a 17 year old male who wants to get into running not marathon but sprints

Llike the 100m or 200m i want to know what workouts i should do to help me run faster, where i could find races to join i live Canada Toronto i am 6.4 and can run pretty fast atm and i love running please help! oh yea and also what kind of foods i need to eat to get more weight i only weight around 140 and i am tall so i am very skinny:( but i joined a gym today should i drink protien shakes?

Sprinters do workouts that train their raw explosive power, such as box-jumps and interval training (as well as any other regular lower-body exercises).

It's rare that I hear of anything like a "city" sprinting meet (as opposed to city marathons). You would likely have to join a track-and-field team or something similar to be able to compete.

And I'd recommend taking a look at the Nutrition and Supplements threads for information about those topics first.
 
Although i do not live in Canada so i do not have much idea regarding where you should join. But i appreciate you that you want to run in the sprint. 100 meter are 200 meter are always challenging. Just focus on practicing under proper guidance.

I believe you know about PB. PB means "personal best". That athlete did better than he or she ever had before. Talk with your trainer about it as timing is very important on the track. It would help you to measure what is your best timing on the track. Try hard to get your best timing by rigorous hard working.
