Hi! Help me lose this fat! - Veira

I'm only 21 years of age, and I've always been heavier than my siblings. My weight always varied between 175-185 lbs. But sinse Feburary I started taking birthcontrol which has made me (and of course for others females) gain more weight... so now I'm just under 200 lbs. I want to lose weight and the fat thats in my thighs, stomach and love handles.

I'm mostly doing stretches, mainly my legs and thighs, and my lower torso. I try to do crunches (even though I fail miserably, but try anyways) and I try to do bycicle kicks (even though I cant even get my rear end off the floor :( ) I'm trying to find a routine and a proper diet that would suit me.

Any suggestions?
 
Hmm I think your best bet at the moment is maybe to start a diary and let us see what kind of routine you have going at the moment. Then maybe if something is glaringly obviously causing you to gain weight someone can tell you. :) Though I find that the best thing to do initially to loose weight is to find healthy alternatives to some of the bad stuff you're eating. For example when I started out recently I replaced white rice with brown rice, white bread with brown bread etc. However the alternatives you choose have to be something you enjoy! I stopped eating crisps and chocolate as snacks but found a brand of cereal bar that I liked just as much.

Hello Veria , my suggestion to you is to get yourself an exercise video so you have something to give you suggestions on exercise, just find some cheep second hand ones that way if you don’t like them its no big deal and walking, I believe walking is one of the best exercises.
