Hi everyone! I'm Amanda. I'm 23 and looking to make some major changes. I just graduated from Penn State last year, and I just got a big-girl job. :coolgleamA: I'm super into sports, like volleyball and softball. I've been through a lot with my health and I feel like I'm at the end of my rope sometimes. Even though I play sports weekly and go to the gym a lot, I don't see many changes. Hopefully everyone can help me out with some motivation and suggestions that may be good for me.

Sometimes it can just be about what you're putting into your body. What are you eating, how much, when? Weight? Congrats on the graduating and job. Don't let it stress you out, stress can add pounds on too. Focus on the positives in your life and the outcome of how you change things. Welcome to the forum.

I eat pretty healthy and currently I'm 220. Worst I've ever been. I'd like to be 160, but I also have thyroid problems. Only having half of a thyroid makes in infinitely more difficult. And it's discouraging to me that I don't fit the normal standard of what a 23 year old female should be. Not that I want to blend in, but I don't want to be the sore thumb

I think you are trying hard and not getting the results you want due to your thyroid problem. I read that when one has weight-loss resistance, including thyroid problems, consulting a doctor may be required to find the right method for weight loss. I also read that making a clear plan as to what changes in your lifestyle you want to make can help. I know you can find something that works for you.:auto:
