Hi everyone, just wanted to make an introduction like some of the other posts in case anyone were to read this post curious about my fitness background.
I'm 26 years old, 169 lbs on an average day at 5'11. I have very little knowledge of fitness regimens, and looked to join this website to gain tips, inspiration, motivation, and share/help with others. I'm looking to reduce my body fat percentage, improve my diet, and increase my strength, as well as my endurance/stamina, and lead a more active lifestyle.
I've been exercising on and off (mostly off because of a lack of motivation and depression, reached a max of 187 lbs with a clearly discernible tummy with a skinny-fat build) for the past three or four years, before that I just really didn't exercise, while I led a sort-of active lifestyle, it was punctuated with a lot of alcohol and other unhealthy habits which obviously didn't encourage an ideal lifestyle laying around hungover. Lately, I've been more active, and noticed the heightened energy and elated feeling from doing anything from hiking to rock climbing, and so I'm looking to transform my body, as well as my mind, through exercise, yoga, and meditation, as well as just becoming a better person.
Right now, I weigh around 169 lbs with a body fat percentage I don't currently care to measure.
ATM I don't have a lot of money, so a gym membership will be out of the question for a month or two while I make lifestyle changes, DURING which I'll be seeking at home exercises with whatever current equipment I have, which is not much.
-two 10 lb. weights
-yoga mats
-exercise ball
-somewhere, SOMEWHERE in my house there's a resistance band
To be honest, I'm not really into running, although I suppose doing it enough it can become enjoyable, I would rather do something less repetitive, like dancing, tae-bo/p90X123/insanity (do people still do that?), boxing, rock-climbing (rock climbing on hiatus due to financial constraints) ?
I guess what I'm trying to say is I'm currently looking for an at-home workout I can do every day to build muscle and lose fat with what little equipment I currently own, and I'm looking for solid advice on building a ROUTINE to maximize my routine every day without injuring myself and targeting different groups as well as recommended cardio, until I have the stable funds to join a gym and build a new routine.
Thanks to anyone who took the time to read this in-cohesive post, I wish you luck in pursuing your fitness goals!![Smile :) :)](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
