I'm new here and extremely excited to have found such place to share and learn from everyone's experiences.
I have dealt with a weight issue for such a long time. So long that I have forgotten what it's like to enjoy life away from food. At 37 years old and being 5' 6" weighting 215 pounds, it's taking a toll on me emotionally.
I believe this all started once I left high school and not having to deal with the expectation of my classmates and school sports. School and work became priority and everything else was put aside. I definitely lacked an active lifestyle. Health wise, i'm overweight but everything seems OK according to what my doctor has told me.
Before joining the forum, I managed to loss 15 pounds in a 2 month period with a mix of weight and cardio routine. I have reached a shameful halt due to motivation. This is exactly the reason I have searched and joined this site. I hope to read and learn from everyone and get back on track.
I don't want to go back to where I was a few months ago. I honestly hate that person I was and need to keep moving in the right path.
Cheers,
Mikel D.
