I'm really pleased to have found this forum
I've been battling with my weight for years and really need some help! Last year I reached my target weight, but for all the wrong reasons - my ex-boyfriend dumped me without warning for a girl the same age as my youngest daughter, stating that I'd become too old, fat and unattractive and he couldn't bear to be with me. I lost 20 pounds very rapidly, partly through shock and partly through a very restricted, rigid diet combined with daily exercise.
Fortunately, I'm now in a much happier place emotionally - I'm in a stable relationship with a wonderful man who loves me as I am but also supports my fitness and weight goals - but I've put back on most of the weight I lost
Despite eating very healthily for the majority of the time (mostly raw vegetables and fruit, clean protein sources, home-cooked meals, and deserts restricted to being a weekend treat), I'm finding it almost impossible to lose weight. I joined an online gym and found it brilliant for a while, but now I'm working and commuting for ridiculously long hours, leaving no time for exercise except at the weekends. I'm starting a job much closer to home later in the year, but for now I'm finding it extremely difficult to fit exercise in and my weight gain is making me miserable.
