Hi. I'm new at this. I really need to lose 90 pounds. I can't believe I let myself go. I just bought a ww digital scale today. I was sad:( when I saw that I weighed much more than a thought. 235. I am size 18. I have a lot of work to do. I have a long way to go. I'm gonna do it. Any advice on healthy snacks? I would love to hear success stories from those on this new journey.

Welcome to the forum! And thanks for posting in my diary.

There are lots of things that can be healthy snacks, such as yogurt, those 100 calorie packs of cookies, string cheese, and of course fruit. Maybe a little peanut butter with an apple. I usually try to keep my snacks no more than 150 calories.

You could start a diary, we keep track of cal's there.

Don't concentrate on how much you weigh, its just deppressing. Instead, think about how hot your going to look in a new outfit and get excited about loosing weight!!
 
Some good snack ideas are sugar free reduced calorie Jello pudding cups (they're only 60 calories and great for a sweet fix), low calorie popcorn (you can get it in single serve 100 calorie bags), as mentioned above those 100 calorie snack packs of cookies and crackers are good, and low calorie whole grain cereal. I've been eating Yogurt Burst Cheerios and they are delicious, I bet they would be good dry as a snack. I also like low fat cottage cheese and fruit for a snack or with my lunch, if you like cottage cheese it's pretty good.

Just wanted to say hi and glad you joined! You will find a lot of helpful advice here! I like fresh strawberries, low cal jello in the snack cups (5 cals) and my nutritionist says to always seek out low cal recipes and make your own muffins, loaves, cookies - that way you are controlling what goes in them - look for recipes on the web - recipezaar has lots.

I am very motivated! I'm really am loving this. I would like to join the 10 pound club to focus on a short term goal. Just thinking about getting down to 145 from 229 seems so far away. I'd rather focus on...getting to 219.:)
