Too Fat

New member
I found this site yesterday and thought it looked really great, so here I am signed up!
Two years ago I weighed 210 pounds. I am 5'7" and pear shaped, so this made me pretty big, a size 18 plus at Cotton Ginny. I have been up and down my whole life but never THIS big!
I decided to lose the weight and really got commited. In exactly six months I lost 60 pounds and had never felt better! I looked GREAT!
But, stupid me, these last four months I have let myself go.......I've gained back 22 pounds! Nothing fits me, all the cute clothes that I bought are sitting in my closet, completly un-wearable. Damn! How could I let myself go like this? AGAIN??????
And its not that I'm so hungry that I eat all the time, I mean, lets face it, if we only ate when we were ACTUALLY hungery, none of us would really be over weight. I eat out of boredom. I can feel quite full, but I'll still have to snack on something. I tried to make the snacks carrotts and celery, but after I eat that I'll still go and eat cerial, toast, eggs with cheese, almost anything!
Where did that will power go that I had two years ago????
And of course now its March and in two months is my 10 year annaversary, not to mentions the hot weather.........
What to do...what to do........

whenever I get the munchies, I'll either drink a big glass of water and wait 15 min and see if I still really want food or I'll chew a piece of gum this works most of the time for me. Hope that helps

Veggies are a good snack, but fruit like apples, pears, and oranges will fill you up if you have a little rumbling because of their water and fiber content. Low fat or fat free yogurt is a another good bet, Yoplait makes light fat free yogurt which only has 100 calories for the cup and they're delicious. Good luck with your weight loss-join us in the diary section, it's the best place to be!

Hi welcome...as you can see we are from the same area. obviously you know what to eat because you lost 60lbs....awesome. Well the maintenance part is the hardest,...I have lost weight several times,...and I always put it back on. I obviously didnt change my lifestyle for a permanent measure.

I still have a ways to go on my goal lost 60 but want to go another 40, so here is my plan for the last 25 which most likely will be the hardest, I am going to join WW. Some ladies on here do it now, and I think they like it. WHat I am interested in is the maintenance program,..as this has to be my last journey down the scales. If you can feel what I am saying here!!!!

You can get back on track and get that weight off before summer,...and show off all those cute clothes!!!!!!!

Thanks guys for your words of encouragement! :) I really really need to do this.
Jenn, is that you in that picture? It certainly doesnt look like you need to lose any weight!!!

lol yep this is me...my face just doesnt correlate to my butt size...thank goodness! :p
