Hi everybody

My name is Adam i'm 23 and i'm looking to make some changes in my life as far as my weight goes. The only problem i have is i don't know where to start? Any help would be apreciated...

Hi Adam...Im in the same boat and have only just started to get it together in a quest to lose weight and get fitter.....

How about joining a gym as a start?

I also bought a book from weight watchers..It allows me to calculate how much I should weigh for my height and how much I should lose for a healthy weight. I also bought some electronic scales and that has been really good because I have seen the pounds slowly coming down..I try to lose a pound a week and have changed my diet too.

Regards

Andy

a good clean way of eating thru out the day, exercise- esp cardio, should give you a good start. there are some good threads on here as far as diet goes, search them out.. and good luck..

I would love to join a gym but i live kind of far out of the city so getting there would be a problem not to mention that money is low right now. I started the slim fast diet and i have an exercise bike so i figured those would be good for now. I'm looking into getting a weight bench as well but i wanted to knock out a few pounds before i started the weight thing. Like i said i'm very new at serious exercise so if this is not a good way to start please let me know...

Don't know what the slimfast diet is but i have a feeling its a very low calorie diet, which is a bad idea. Need more details dude.

Hi Adam! Welcome to the forum. I think details such as your height, current weight etc are needed for one to help you better.

As far as the exercises are concerned, I think you have a good plan. Lots of cardio will be good to start with. You will then need to gradually add more exercises to your routine.

Hi there and welcome to the board. I know you'll get some good advice over here.
