Hi -DeniseUk's diary to weight loss goal!

Hi Everyone!
Thought i would jump straight in and start a diary...
My name is Denise- i am 39 and from suffolk in the UK
I started my weight loss journey jan 2005 at 229 lbs got down to 178 lbs in july '05 then gradually put some back on on the way to Xmas :(
I am currently at 204 lbs and am looking to get down to 14o lbs - i am 5ft 5 .2 inches tall
I currently follow the Slimming World diet which is popular here in the UK- and at the moment i am struggling to stay on track- i hope to get back on track tomorrow- with luck!
i also want to aim to excercise more using my treadmill, rower etc and TRY to drink more water - along with that try to give up smoking too!

PHEW!
thats a lot to try and do - but try i must!

hope to get to know some of you on here, and give /receive support ideas too:)

well thats it for now - will take a look around etc and be back tomorrow as it way past midnight and i need some sleep!

Sounds like you have a lot on your plate! Try making one goal per day and sticking to that....take things one day at a time and one challenge at a time. Also posting on this site has really helped me - keeps me accountable and also keeps me aware.
I quit smoking about 7 years ago and it was hard but it's the hardest in the beginning....each day without one gets better.
Just wanted to say hi and good for you!!!
 
Hi Denise! Welcome to the forum! Just wanted to wish you well on your weight loss journey. I haven't heard of the Slimming World diet. What is it like?

I use a treadmill to exercise as well. I was so out of practice from exercising when I started my legs hurt for a month! It is finally getting better now, and I have found I am actually starting to enjoy exercising. I never thought that would happen.
