Hi All! My name is Char and am new to the forums. I'm 29, and weigh 265. I really need the motivation and ideas to help me reach my goal of 160. I'm hoping this board will open my eyes a bit. I hope to get to talk to some of you.
 
Welcome to the forum! There are lots of supportive and motivating people on here! :D You might want to start a diary. It is a good way to keep track of your exercise and calories, and is a good way for us to get to know you and have a place to provide advice and support. There are also lots of clubs you can join and usually some challenges going on. You can also get a weight loss buddy if you would like. Just post in the buddy thread under the club section if you are interested. I think there is someone else with about the same amount of weight to lose that is looking for one. Welcome! You can do it! I know that losing 100 pounds or more seems like a HUGE thing, but they come off just like 20 pounds - one pound at a time. I have found that writing has really helped me to stay focused and to stick to a plan. I have a diary on here, a paper journal just for me, and a food journal where I write down everything I eat. It's a lot of writing, but it has made all the difference. I'm down 15 pounds in 6 weeks - from 245 to 230. You can do it, too! Just decide on a plan and stick to it. See you around!
 
Armywife06!! Alooha! I too am an Army wife. If you are looking for a weightloss buddy I would be happy to be yours! I am looking too. Today is my first day on the forum, well actually any forum for that matter. I am hoping to get some good advice and support here. I don't have a problem giving it...let me know.
