Hi all Newb here

Hey guys and gals, 44 years old and feel it!!! I am 6' 3 or 4.. 200# so I don't need to lose weight really. I am just getting back into working out after a very long absence. I did heavy work for about 18 years and have been driving for about 9 now and boy did I go down hill since I started driving.
I am going to my first session with a trainer today, we'll see what happens.

A question, do any of you workout with a speedbag and/or heavy bag?? I used to hit the bag as a kid, loved it and want to get back into it.

I use a heavy bag once or twice per week. I love it. It is a martial arts one, not boxing (so it weighs 100lbs).

Your muscles remember workouts, so you will be back in the routine pretty easily and quickly!

I'm currently training for amateur boxing and work on the heavy and light bags quite often.It's a great workout.
 
Thanks guys, I had my session with one of the trainers, great. Light weight, 3 sets of 15. arms, back, abs etc etc..,, No pain at all, just a good feeling. Worked out on the heavy bag, always liked this. I think I will stay the course.
