Hi all, nice to meet y'all 'ere :p

anyway a short intro of me, i'm a 19,this year, a female, 5 feet 2. I started gaining weight about a year and a half ago... well, at tat time, i was in high school, and i can say, there isn't much food to eat and i was very thin, i'm like 39kg... well then right after i graduate high school, i started gaining weight during the holidays right until the whole of last year... yeap, the scales and size just go up and up... wat did i do during the holidays and when i started college? i ate lotsa foods... my parents bring me ere and there and i was like...everyday... food food food, i also attended one month of gym and i gain more appetite then i stop going to the gym... then i started another gym during the mid year when i gained like 5 kgs, went to the gym fer like 2-3 months and stopped coz theres too much work.... i dunno wat happen but let me summarize things up...

graduate from highschool -> holidays -> was 40kg this time, went to gym for a month.... gained 5 kgs -> stopped gym started college... for like 4-5 months my weight was around 45-46kg -> went to gym again for 3 months -> gained 10kg, am around 55kg at tat time-> my weight then slowly accended to 57-58kg -> then i stopped gym coz i was too busy and the scales kept going up... well then towards the end of last year till now i did not went to the gym and my weight is still around 58 kg-> thank god my weight stabalize now, but i'm still so dissapointed that i gained so much weight

argh, i'm just so....dissapointed, i can't fit in all my clothes, i can't wear fancy clothes, and i'm so fat, my waist since high school till now, i had gained 5 -6 inch round my waist, I"M SO FAT

well anyway, end of intro, i'm now counting calories... eating balance meals... and do some little exercise whenever theres time at home... wish me luck

welcome desperadoette. for one thing, you sound depressed and unmotivated which is not going to help you in your quest. you need to be serious and motivated in order to be successful with weight loss because it doesnt happen overnight - it takes months of dedication and consistancy. start out small, cut out any junk like non diet soda and chips or cookies. start walking every day for 20 minutes at a brisk pace and work your way up to 60 minutes 3-5 times a week. figure out how many calories your eating per day now and decrease it by a few hundred. start drinking at least 60 oz of fluid a day that does not contain caffeine but try to stay clear of sugary juices.

start a journal if you like and post any questions you might have. you can do this!

As wonderwoman mentioned, you could start a diary if you'd like. We use them to keep track of calories and exercise, and also help us to keep track of you and your progress.
