hey

Hey I just joined this forum to hopefully give me a kick up the butt and some motivation to work out and get back in shape/lose weight...

I'm a 30 year old guy married with 2 small kids and am terribley out of shape..
I spent years in the military where I had to keep fit etc and once I left it was like this huge relief that I could just relax and do nothing...Unfortunatley my weight ballooned after 2 years I am at 5' 6" weight of 205 pounds....

I do have a high muscle mass so its not all fat but a heck of a lot of it is lol...
My wife works and I am a stay at home dad so I need to workout etc at home..We have just got one of those tony little gazelle trainers off of a friend and have access to weights....and workouts on tv (fit tv etc)

So anyone else who has this situation any tips would be great :)

Welcome to the forum. you can hit the weights at home, if so do it. i do all my workouts at home- 2 small kids and i go to school too ( also am a single mom). that depends on how bad you want to do it.. i do an upper/lower split with one day off in between.. it def. doable.good luck on your journey :)

I am in the same place you are

I am in the same place you are - minus the military experience. My name is Alicia and I also stay at home with my children.Five years ago we invested in a stationary bike and that helped out alot.If you are intrested in losing water weight , try those unattractive plastic suits. No one will see you except your kids and occasionally your wife. And try to work out longer than an hour a day. I actually posted my first post yesterday (with no replies yet). On the same thing you are inquiring about. Except I need to just loose twenty lbs. and I need incouragement.I can't make it to the gym and it is easier to work out ,at nine at night, when the kids are in bed. Thanks for the ear.Good luck!
