I was looking for information on losing weight and found this forum so I thought I'd give it a try.
My name's Stephanie and I'm 17. I struggled with and eating disorder for about a year and a half(from 14 1/2 to 16). My "normal" weight is around 125-135(I'm 5'6"), but I was at about 115 and I was starving myself and occasionally binging and purging. I finally started eating normally but then it was like I lost control and after a few months I was eating fast food all the time. I gained about 15 lbs. in 2 months and it's been going up steadily. Now I'm up to 160 and I want to get back down to 130, but I want to do it the healthy way.
So that's my story. Any advice is appreciated :)
 
welcome to our forum! We will help you through this :) Let me know more specifically what you what help with and we will do the best we can. In the end, dieting is calories in vs. calories out. Eat less...move more. I know, easier said than done.

Hi Stephanie! Welcome to the group! There are alot of great people here and everyone is so supportive. You should start you a diary so you can keep track of how much weight you lose, what foods you eat a day, how many caleries you ate or whatever. It's great to have a diary so we all can drop in and see how your doing and give you suggestions on area's you need to work on etc.. I know your gonna do great! I'll stop in and check on you!
 
Hello, sounds like you are ready to do this in a healthy way and thats wonderful. I do the 1200 calorie diet and excercise and I have seen great results. I dont know what you are doing or if this is right for you but whatever you do I will also check on you and try to supply as much motivation as I possibly can for you. Keeping a journal in here is the best thing I so, it keeps me honest. Good luck to you!
