Hey i'm new... and frustrated!

Hi all, I'm a mother of 2 kids currently weighing 134 lbs and desperately want to get back down to my pre pregnancy weight of 115 lbs, I eat fairly well but don't exercise alot as I work full time, raise 2 kids etc. I just can't seem to lose it and i'm so fed up. Any suggestions! I'm sick of looking at pictures of me looking like this!!!!!!!!!!

Quick question.. how tall are you? because at some heights 115 is underweight.

But anyway, welcome to the forum. Be sure to watch your water intake. That was my problem at first. Try to get about 80 oz. a day. That may seem like a lot if you don't drink much already, but start off slow. If you only drink 30 or so a day, then make it a goal to get to 50, and work from there.
 
I'm curious to know how tall you are too. Because 134 is a normal weight for most women. I hear you though about wanting to be back to where you were. What have you been doing so far to try to lose? Exercise is a must. I know it can be a drag when you are exhausted from all that work and kids, but it's a must if you ever want to see results, especially as you age and your metabolism slows. Is there any way you can squeeze in at least 30 minutes a few days a week? That should get things moving. If you hear of any weight loss secrets without having to hit the gym, do let me know. Working out takes up a lot of time for me.

Sorry I guess my height would have helped huh? lol... I'm 5'2" so as we all know the shorter you are the pounds show up more. When I got pregnant with my son I was 105 lbs, I was running alot and doing weights, after I had my son I got married and I was still at 110, then I got pregnant with my daughter and well... that's when my weight was never the same, so going from being that small to 20lbs over is a huge change for me.

I do drink a ton of water at work in fact everyone teases me about how much I drink, so that's not an issue for me, I guess what I need to do is start running again? Apparently what I'm doing isn't enough. I'm so frustrated though. Anyone tried a good meal plan that seemed to work?

Yes, you are a tiny thing. I see why you want to get smaller. I don't know if it's for you but I lose wieght the fastest by cutting sugar from my diet and also keeping carbs to a minimum. I know that wieght watchers points work great too. Good luck with that, I'm sure you will see results with running. Go girl! I can't run because of my knees, but I can walk fast. hehe Good luck this week. You can do it!

I will start today on the low carb high protein thing, and I will start running first thing in the morning before work (argh) lol. I will keep you guys posted on how I progress, and maybe I will post some after pics! I'm so glad I found this board!!!
 
How are you doing honeychild? Just checking in on you. Running in the morning? Go girl! That's dedication. I've been exhausted this week, luckily I have karate tonight, so I have no excuse not to work out. Anyhow, if you check in, let me know how you are.

I've been doing well, thanks for asking! I have run a few times, it's so freakin cold in the mornings! lol. I got on the scale this morning and I was down to 132!!! I had to get on a couple more times because I thought I was seeing things! lol, it's amazing how 2lbs is such a big deal huh? And I went to get my hair done last night and my hairdresser was like seriously how much weight have you lost cause you look great! The last time I saw her in August I was about 140, so I haven't lost alot but I guess when your smaller it makes a big difference, it was nice to hear it though! :eek:
 
Wow, go girl! Glad you are taking it off! yes, when you are small, a few pounds does make a huge difference when you lose it. I can't wait until I can see a difference. lol I lose a few and it's like, from where? haha I'm so glad you are seeing results. Keep up the great work. You'll be back in shape in no time. Don't worry I'll make ya proud!! I know what you mean about losing it and thinking where I am losing it from! Thanks for the encouragement and I'll let ya know how I'm doing at the end of the week, I tried to get a ticker thing on the bottom like most of you have to show progress but It kept messing up! Yikes! Sure I'd like to be on your x-mas card list, from PM i'm guessing it means private message? Alright, I'll do that. Thanks! :eek:
 
Welcome to the forum! It's great to have you here! I also have about 20 lbs to lose and find that it is not coming off as easily since I have ventured into my 30's. Hope you find lots of support here! Love, Julia

Well I can't wait til the Nov 1st 2 week weight loss, I'm having a feeling "fat" day, blech. I must have put on 8 different tops today before heading off to work, I hate these days!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I've had this morning is a cup of grapefruit juice and a some green tea and I didn't bring a lunch, so I've got to go grab a salad or sandwich.
 
hehe, You're so funny. I know what you mean about changing your tops. I can't wait until you get to the weight where it all looks good.
