hi everyone
i think my name pretty much says it all :( !! i'm a newly born 3month old mom n well, pretty much messed up.neither do i look the way i did,nor do i feel the same.am trying to get a hold over myself n think losing weight is one of the ways to go about it.i was never pencil thin but was in no competition with baby elephants either.rather was quite a fitness freak n enjoyed working out, going for long walks or jogs. today i neither have the time nor am i motivated enough to lose weight. and to complicate matters,i have a disc prolapse which rules out any heavy exercise regime. so HELP

welcome humpty dumpty! have you consulted with your doctor to see what kind of exercise you are allowed to do? walking isnt really considered heavy regime exercise but you should still check first to make sure its okay. in the meantime, just cut out all the junk and start drinking LOTS of water. also split your meals into 5 small ones and prepare some fresh fruit and veggies precut so when you feel like snacking, your less likely to go for the higher calorie things.

Hey there Humpty! I love your name. hehe You know, at least you have an athletic background so it's not like you have to start from scratch. Just give yourself a break and take it one day at a time. You just had a baby! You can lose weight, keep going!

Hey humpty dumpty,

Just wanted to let you know I totally relate to how you feel! I had a very hard time after I gave birth to my son in May 03. I called my doctor and she diagnosed me with postpartum depression...after I sought help and started feeling somewhat human again the weight just dropped off ( until I regained it in nursing school the following fall). You will meet your goal....just give yourself some time and take small steps...I would cut calories and maybe add some brisk walking or some recumbent bike riding if you have this kind available...finding the time to do exercise was the hardest thing for me...Keep your chin up!
