Hi friends
I'm 44 years old and try to keep my weight under 130lbs (5'4)
I love animals and own 2 cats and a dog. I'm not really a couch potatoe but i'm not on a regular exercise plan either. Motivation
motivation!!! I thought if i communicate with others with the same problems that it might help me to motivate to eat better and start an exercise program. Don't think about my dog, he has the same habits as me and is a little overweight as well.
Hope to talk to many others.
Sugar:)

Nothing is impossible!!

Hello Sugar - welcome to the forum!

I love the attachment:):)

well when you have a dog you are probably out walking with him on a regular basis, so at least you get some exercise. I read somewhere that it is a good idea, when walking a pet to incorporate some squats or lunges, while they do their "business".

HI Sugar,

I think you are too hard on yourself. Not being couch potatoe that is already a big bonus compared to most of us. I read an article once where is stated that you don't necessarily need an "exercise plan" form a personal trainer to stay healthy and fit. There are a lot of things that can count as exercise, that we forget... Try to take the stairs instead of the elevator... Always park far away from the grocery store...carry some of the groceries yourself and don't let the clerk do it all...I'm sure there's lots more that you can count as activity. So - just don't become a couch potatoe, eat healthy and maybe try to do a bit more. Depending which definition for weight you use, you actually have a normal weight for your height.

HI I'm new

I have just found the forum and am interested in talking to people who are also trying to lose weight.

Good place to start, Munchie! Welcome. Glad to have you here. It was recommended to me by people here on this site to start a diary and log my food and exercise. I do that now and it helps. The people on this site are encouraging. You might want to look around, see what we have to offer. :)
