Alright. I didnt think it would come down to this. I always said to myself that I could lose weight but I was never able to prove it to myself. Let me start off with ... Im 19 years old from London, Ontario, Canada. Currently I am close to 400lbs. My goal ... or maybe i should say my dream weight would be 280lbs. I think by getting on here and taking advantage of the community's support I can maybe find enough will power inside to stick to a regimine.

I appreciate any suggestions in a new healthy lifestyle and I welcome any support.

Ive been a big kid all my life but really in grade 9 it kinda got out of hand ... by grade 12 I was nearly 325 lbs ... since grade 12 (2 years) ive gained almost 75-80 lbs. Ive just purchased a new scale that will read up to 400 lbs so i will be giving an official weigh in when that comes in as my scale only goes up to 350.

Its gotten out of hand and now i need to get it undercontrol.

Welcome Ali! Thanks for sharing your story. You're not giving up on yourself so that's a great start. One day at a time. There's lots of great people on the forum to support you.
 
Welcome here Ali! I would suggest you make small changes at first, and be sure not to starve yourself...it doesn't work that way.

I started by making sure I drank lots of water all day, and cutting out the constant snacking. I gave myself 3 actual snacks a day, but that's it. Small steps.:)
 
there are a lot of inspirational people in this community ... and i think thats really going to help out ...

i look forward to my future years in this community and i look forward to also being an inspiration to all the people struggling as i am.
