Hi everyone, I'm Andy from Texas. I used to live in Massachusetts for most of my life but moved down south last year in June.
I'm definitely no stranger to weight loss. I put on a lot of weight during my childhood due to various health issues and medications and just never found the motivation to lose weight until 2011. At the time I was 258 pounds and five foot ten. From January 2011 to December of 2012 I lost 98 pounds and went down to 160. After that I started having lots of life changes and stopped exercising for the most part and my diet got worse (eating out a lot more). As of this week I now weigh in at 230 pounds. It's definitely discouraging to have such a gigantic set back but I'm determined to lose the weight again. My new goal is to get down to 180 pounds. I started jogging again and I also go to the gym with my partner three times a week. I've started to really clamp down on my diet again to return it to the way it used to be when I was healthier.
I decided to join the forum because I realized I lost so much weight before because I had people who I checked in with from time to time. Having that accountability was really helpful and I'm definitely seeking that again. I want to be helped and help others lose weight. It's also great to be at a place with so much useful information to look through.
I've never been too good at doing introductions but hope this one was alright. Hope to make a few friends here and help to motivate others with their weight loss!
