Hey, I just started an account here today, I started my exercise routine to :D. You can tell from my screename but I'll say it anyway. I <3 budokon. It's the first workout I've tried that I've actually enjoyed. I still need to figure out my eating plan. I was thinking about a 5 small meals a day type thing, at least until school starts. I'm 15 and I'm almost a sophomore, I've been pudgy for since I was 5 or 6 and now I'm just letting it go too far. I'm 171 lbs and my doctor said I need to lose weight before it gets out of hand. The reason I want to lose weight is b/c of my self esteem I guess. Like if I said "Wish me luck" and somebody said "Good luck!" I'll think "Yeah right, good luck, they want me to fail." or "Hey, you look nice" I think "Uh huh, sure. You're just being polite" But I've made up my mind and I'm not changing it.
 
congrats on your decision to change your life!! and at your age, you can set yourself up for a long and healthy life. it's great that you are determined, have a plan, and are working with a doctor. Unfortunately, i can definitely relate to having horrible self esteem and body image. I have gotten much better, and hopefully the encouragement you get here will help you as well! drop me a line any time you need a friend or a listening ear!
 
Hi there, and welcome! I am new as well. I am 17 years old, and I now weigh 264 (I am almost 6 feet tall)...I have lost 4 pounds since starting!! This forum is really great for motivation..I am sure you will get all you need!

Hey, welcome to the site. It's awesome that your making the decision to handle your weight issues now. Alot of times people put it off, and put it off, until it's insanely out of control. You should consider using the forums diary feature to have a place to keep track of your progress. Good Luck on this life changing journey.
