Herbal Supplements??

Hi, everyone! I am still kind of new to the forum, so if this has been addressed elsewhere and I can't find it, just point me in the right direction!

Does anyone have a positive experience with herbal supplements to help control appetite? I am not looking for a quick fix so much as for something that will help control my appetite while I change my diet and add exercise. I'm thinking short term, say six weeks to three months. I need to lose about 75 pounds (5' 2", 210 lbs right now and need to be around 130-135) and it seems I am always hungry and looking for something to munch on.

Any suggestions?

I've used Fiber supplements in the morning (chewables, sugar-free by Fiber Choice I believe). It is Strawberry flavored and has Green Tea extract and chromium in it, which I've read to be a good combination of hunger suppressant, but suppressing hunger before breakfast isn't the best of ideas.

Thing is... drinking a nice tall hot Green Tea in the morning would probably give the same effect too (as well as a breakfast containing a decent amount of fiber, like oatmeal with apples). It works well and you should give that a go.

your best bet is dieting-the right way. whenever you feel hungry, drink a tall glass of water first. sometimes the body sends signals and your brain percieves it as hunger when it is actually thirst. if you're still hungry, go with a piece of fruit, which is loaded with fiber and very filling. peaches, apples, bananas, oranges, are all great ways to fill up without filling out.
