My BMR is 1,908.20, am i susposed to eat 1500 calories a day in order to start losing weight? I've recently started working out again... I do 25 minutes of the stair master and then I usually go do about 100 sit ups and that's basically my work out everyday.

advice? suggestions? comments?

i'm 180, 5'7, 21 year old male.

main question is bmr... if its 1908 should i eat less or more calories ?!?!?!?!

Spend some time reading the stickied threads around the forum -there is a thread that covers BMR - ask what you don't understand in that thread

Eat 1900 calories. Remember that you still need to add your activity level to your BMR to find out you burn each day, so eat your BMR and any activity (not just exercise) will be fat burned. You should also revise your workout.

Couple of thoughts:

- What is the point of doing 100 crunches? You're working the same muscle to the point where you're doing nothing. Alter your ab exercises for better results. Focus on form and not reps. Also focus on different parts of your abs.
- Same thing with the stair master. Use a different cardio exercise every day. Your body is just going to get accustomed to this workout to the point where you'll plateau.
-On top of your BMR, there is a calculator that adjusts the calories you should be eating to the amount of work you do throughout the day. Find that and see how much your caloric intake changes.
- Add weight training to your workout routine. Building lean muscle will raise your metabolism.
- Nutrition is 70-80% of your success. Eat the right foods. You are really vague here, so I don't know what to say. Beans are a good food to eat; the provide good protein, healthy fat, fiber, etc. If you just try and eat healthier, that is the beginning of the journey.

Not so much. Check .
