Help!

Hey guys,

I have an extremely important date coming up in the next 4 months and I want to look fantastic! Unfortunately I am far from that at the moment. I really really need some help; I would really appreciate any good advice!

I'm eighteen years old. The last time I checked I was 177cm tall, and I weigh around 69 -70kg at the moment. My upper body has always been fine; my legs however are the complete opposite. My legs are very long, and it would be great to be able to show them off. At the moment though, I am just embarrassed. I don't go out with friends and I cry almost every time I go shopping! I realise how superficial that sounds, but I really can't help it. My top size is as small as a size six to eight, my bottom half however is almost a size 14! It almost looks as though I have to halves of completely different bodies!

I am lost for what to do! I want to have slim legs; I don't want any bulk (as this wouldn't match my upper body). I never know what to do because apparently certain exercise will just make my legs bigger?

Please please please help me out!

I can assure you that any excersise you do will NOT make your legs bigger. Unless you are specifically doing body building work outs and consuming the dietry suppliments that body builders do, there is no chance you will make your legs bigger. It is the biggest myth out there, as i believe most ppl on here will back me up with that.

In my opinion your best bet is go hard on resistance cardio. Work yourself up to high intensity on the cardio machines and youll be burning fat and toning your bottom half in no time.

Please, just dont spend another second thinking that excersise will make your legs bigger.

Thank you sooooooo much! I am so relieved haha :)
I shall get busy with the exercise then. Is bike riding and swimming a good idea?
Oh and do you think 4 months is an unreasonable amount of time to achieve a new set of legs?

Thankyou thankyou thankyou :)

Eating right is the key to losing weight. Yes exercise is good, but you need to make sure you're eating a proper number of calories of healthy food. Read the sticky posts in the forums for information on how to calculate your calories and what foods are best to eat.
