Some snacks I like:
Nuts - for the protein, omega 3 fats, and fiber
Soynuts - Protein, fiber
Low fat string cheese - protein, calcium
Beef jerky - protein
Popcorn, air popped, no butter - Fiber, whole grain
Raw vegetables with hummus dip
The hummus I think is a better choice than your ranch dressing, which probably has a fair amount of sugar in it.
