Help with rows

I have a full body routine 3 days a week which thinking of it now i should probably post up here for additional help.

Well anyways a part of my routine is doing "rows" so I looked up how to do them on youtube.

YouTube - Bent-Over Barbell Row

I don't think I am doing them right but I am not sure. I think because I'm using 25's instead of 45's the bar is closer to the ground and harder to reach so i am straining my back? I just know something is off. Can anyone give me some advice on what to do about this?

Here is my routine in case you need to see it:

When I’ve used 45’s I never put the bar on the ground and always keep it just above the ground. Not until recently did I realize people will rest the weight before their next rep (I’m going to try the pause next time I do them). You could use aerobic steps or build boxes to the height you need to rest the weight at. Or use oly bumpers they are all the same diameter.
