help with BCAA dosage

I've just gone ahead and bought some "Prolab BCAA Plus". (I chose this over the Biotest version because I found Biotest to be more than twice the price for the same number of capsules, and each Biotest capsule is written to have only twice the amounts of amino acid as the Prolab ones).

What I'm wondering is about the doasge. I've read that anything less than 20g of BCAA per day is not worth doing, which means either 16 Biotest pills or 32 Prolab!

Does anyone have any experience or advice for BCAA dosage?
I've paid £20 (about $45) for 180 Prolab pills, and to follow that kind of dosage is gonna be really expensive.
Should I take 20g every day or just on training days?

I have never used those pills but on the supplementstore website for Prolab BCAA Plus (90 capsules) it says Directions of use :- As a dietary supplement to aid muscle growth and recuperation, take 6 capsules 30-60 minutes after your workout. What is on the directions of use on your container as the figure you've quoted of 16 or 32 a day from a 90 capsule bottle sounds abusive?

I usually just take a serving before the workout and then another after. I have been taking them before bed lately too.
