Help needed - how to skip song in iPhone using armband

I've started to run with armband (for iPhone4) and a problem appears: how to change between songs (or skip song) and what to do with volume?
I'm running with sport waterproof headphones - without microphone and volume changer.
Does somebody know what applications should I use to changing song and volume?
Or I need just to hold the iPhone in my hand and do it manually?
Thanks...

My suggestion would be to make a playlist and only put songs on it that you want to hear. That way you don't have to worry about skipping songs.

I've never had too many issues with just skipping songs or changing the volume on my ipod using the armband, you just have to have it set so that the screen doesn't go off during your workout. It would probably not work quite as well on the iphone since you're relying on the touch screen rather than the ipod buttons though.

I just love my headphones... )))
Many thanks to ButtonPusher (from runnersforum.co.uk) - he told me about CarTunes - cool app for gym, but not suitable for running. The screen should always be ON.

And just a huge thank you to my friend from NY - he found me what I was looking for )))
He found app Run Next Song! Today, I'll test this app in action.

I will write what happened with Run Next Song.
Ohhh My HeadPhones with me.. )))

I would like to disagree with you. I want to skip some song not because I don't like it, just because I don't want it right now. For example, it is slow song and I am running downhill, I would like to skip to the next one with more "energy" in it.

Personal opinion only. Would never run with anything as fragile or valuable as an iPhone. Have my little shuffle, sound could be better, but it's for training not a time when the audiophile in me shines through.
Simple buttons, easy to use for those occasions when my mind is certainly not ready for anything complex. Plays loud obnoxious music on demand, and if I fall on it or break it, the price makes it an annoyance not devastating, and it's tough as hell so I haven't done so yet.
There are times when I want to blip a song, purely mood based, but much of it is a standard type so rare.
For those that do use the iPhone running, aren't there apps that will enable you to turn the screen into a set of big buttons controlling the simple functions? There are apps for everything else.

That's the great thing about playlists... you put only the songs that you want. And even better, you can make more than one to suit different moods or different workouts.
