Weight-Loss

Hi, I know this has been done to death but I'm looking for some advice on calorie intake.
I'm 5' 6'' f, 24, 170lbs looking to lose about20lbs. I have a sedentary type of job but work out 6 days a week, burning between 500-700 calories.
Does 1800 cals sound sufficient to lose some weight sensibly?
I have lost about 14lbs so far but things seem to be stalling - and I don't think 1800 is going to put me in starvation mode!
Many thanks
Edited to say my BMR is 1610, worked out using body composition calculator.

I highly suggest reading the stickies. It's clearly explained how to calculate caloric intake in the stickies. Starvation mode is also discussed, since I believe you have a misunderstanding of what the term actually constitutes.

That said, your caloric intake seems fine. If anything you could even stand dropping it down a bit but I wouldn't do that until you have to. When will you have to? When your current intake stops working.

What comprises your calories is also critical for fat loss, muscle maintenance, and health. So expand your thinking to include nutrient content and quality as well.
