Hello All
I am new to this forum and trying to get healthy and in shape. A little bit about me:
28 y/o
unhealthy
6 feet
15 stone 4 (was 16 stone 3 month ago)
Desk Job
So the reason for me joining is I am trying to get healthy and in shape, the problem I have is there is so much information out there I am struggling to separate the nonsense from the sensible advice.
I am keen to get a diet plan and also a training plan. I have tried devising my own, but I am not a sports nutritionist nor a gym go-er.
I have dumbells at home and a straight bar which I do various excersizes with (no bench) and try to run a mile a day 5 days a week (not a lot I know, but my knees really hurt when running, I assume its because of excess weight).
Anyway, what I would like help with if any of you kind people can help is devising a diet and training plan. As I want to get in shape and lose this belly and gain muscle. I have never been in shape at all, and my family has a history of obesity hence me trying to get a grip of my body shape before it spirals out of control. My farther at his heaviest was 30 stone, he is down to 16 stone now though, my aunty has had a leg removed because her viens collapsed under the weight. Ironically my dad used to be a body builde rin the seventies so id ultimately like to look like he did when he was in competition, however I am realistic to think that maybe years away, as I am starting from a blobby mess![Big grin :D :D](data:image/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAIAAAAAAAP///yH5BAEAAAAALAAAAAABAAEAAAIBRAA7)
Anyway thanks for reading and looking forward to your replies.
Joe
