I am new to this forum and hope you guys and gals can help me out. I am currently in the Police Acdemy and I need to shave 15 seconds of my 1.5 mile run, I did it in 12:04 and need to get to 11:49. I have 4 weeks to do this. I could use any help or advice that you can give. I have been told to try interval training (sprint,jog,sprint)by a couple of people , but I want to check with you guys before I commit to a program that may not help me. My problem is that I get winded when I run fast (I guess we all do, LOL), fatigue doesnt kick in until the last two laps (of 6) and I think i can overcome that, but the lack of oxygen is a tough one to get over.
