Diet is the most important component in losing weight. Exercise is important too, but when you're losing weight, you HAVE to eat right. You have to eat fewer calories than you take in. You haven't said anything about what you eat, but given that the two things you mention are candy and Coke, I would be willing to bet that you're not eating the right kinds of foods to lose.

If you're having trouble losing the belly, that probably means 2 things: you're not working out your core enough and you're not eating the right foods. Although you're jogging and doing sit-ups, you should also try some other core workouts. The workout section in this forum has a lot of good stuff. (I'm sure you'll find plenty of core exercises.) There's lower abs, upper abs, and etc so don't forget to work all parts of your abs!

As for your diet: you said that you are drinking diet cola instead. Honestly, that's not that much better. Get rid of the soda all together and just drink water. It'll get rid of the gut and even help your skin ;)

Good Luck!

spot reduction is impossible. his belly fat loss has zero to do with how much core work he does, and everything to do with his daily diet and how much total exercise he is getting.

want to lose that last little bit of fat? resistance training using your entire body. specially your legs, as they are the largest muscle group in the body and can have the best net caloric burn effect.

I agree 100% with Jynus. You cannot force weight loss from your belly by doing core work. Working your core will build strong abs, yes, but it won't melt off fat. And if those abs are covered by a layer of fat, then you won't see the results of any core work you're doing.

The ONLY thing that will cause anyone to lose weight from their belly is by losing fat .. and you cannot target that. Losing fat is a "whole body" proposition. As the fat goes, the muscles become more visible and that's when the core work pays off.

But core work HAS to be combined with other strength training and HIIT cardio to help burn the fat first.

you should run or jog or walk or what ever u want to do for at least an hour to be heahty and to lose weight, depends on how fast u run

You haven't said anything about what you eat, so please mention what you eat
and do exercise daily ,this will help you.

I have been a member here for a number of years but I haven't got around to posting much lately.

But I have recently created a blog that focuses on the main points of burning fat:

It's a bit of a long read but I feel it points out some valuable information that you may or may not know.

There is a solution for you but its quite harder first you need to do diet and do some yoga and meditation that will be more effective, and i think you should keep your self busy as possible and never sleep in a day time after doing that you will able to reduce your weight.. ok just try once.....
