Help Me!!

I really need help. Im 20 years old, 5'6" and im 142 pounds.My body is so out of proportion ,I have a big tummy and relatively big hips. Really wanna lose weight and what is the best way to do so? What exercises can i do to get a flat tummy and how long does it take before one can see the results?? PLEASE HELP ME...
 
only way to a flat tummy is through CARDIO exercise first. your body decides where it wants to lose the fat. you can do spot toning exercises til your blue in the face but they wont get rid of the fat. some cardio you can do is walking, running, swimming, or biking. there are many other things but those are off the top of my head. if you have never done exercise, consult with the doc first and start out slow.
 
The best way to lose body fat is to do these things:

1) Eat 5-6 small meals throughout the day. Each meal should be 3-4 hours apart. Each meal should contain one protein and one carb.


2) Drink lots of water :)


3) Rest properly. This means taking at least 24-48 hours between strength training the same muscles, and it also means getting at least 7-8 hours of sleep per night. Lastly, it means taking 1-2 days off from exercising per week.


4) Cardio. This should be done at different intensity levels and different session lengths. Consider doing a low intensity/long session, a high intensity/short session and a few medium intensity/medium length sessions.


5) Strength Training. Strength train each muscle 1-3 times per week. You should lift a proper weight and perform the proper amount of sets/reps for your strength training method.


All of the above things combined will result in fat loss. Strength training and cardio work hand-in-hand. The difficult part of any program is sticking with it. But these boards can help keep you motivated.
