Do you have the right shoes? Don't jog on concrete, find a track or grass if possible - if you can't jog more than 5 minutes use the jog-walk routine. Jog 2 minutes, walk 3, jog 2, walk 3.. et cetera... I play football (soccer) twice a week but even I sometimes jog/walk at the gym because my legs are often in shambles from getting kicked or slide tackling other players.. and remember to enjoy the experience - there's nothing worse than training for superficial or vanity reasons, it should be something you look forward to. Well, that's my mindset anyway

There's likely a lot of stress being put on your legs with the extra weight you're carrying, and so the sudden exercise can be causing problems. (Sounds like shin-splints to me.)

Try non-weight bearing exercises such as cycling or swimming.w

Im guessing it's been a while since you've done exercise (before this) and so this is going to be the reason why you can't go for very long. After a few more days, your body will start to get used to this, and it will realize that your starting to exercise again, and it will then 'adapt' so you can go for longer. It just takes a bit of time that all. I totally agree with Jrahien... Try low intensity/impact cardio like swimming or bike riding, cos' this 'severe pain' doesn't sound normal at all. Last thing you want is to injure yourself cos' the you'll be out of action for weeks. Just take it slow, try the swimming and the riding and you can even try fast walking (because this is less impact but still a good form of exercise).

Hope this helps mate!

Thank you all for your help it was very helpful and PaultheRed when you mentioned the right shoes thing it rang a bell to me becuase im not using the right ones but in the same time i don't think that's the problem we are having here because the pain is so severe especially on the right leg and it started at the first moments of jogging so go figure,

Chris,I couldn't agree with you more with the adapting thing because im noticing a change and now i can go more than 5 .

i think i will try PaultheRed's jog/walk sounds comfy for my legs and will get a consultation about the pain cos it looks serious.

I think you're underestimating the importance of shoes. Even if they're not the cause of the problem, not having the right arch support can certainly aggravate leg injuries to extreme levels.

You just started jogging and you are feeling severe pain in your lower leg bone which is very normal to me. I would like to suggest to you that you should not start jogging in rigorous way right now. It would be frustrating for you.

Jog as much as possible at normal speed until your body can endure it. You are feeling severe pain because you do not take some free hand exercise before jogging. Stretching is very important as it would make your muscle loose. Lastly please drink lots of water because it would help you greatly supplying enough water to maximum muscle tissue while jogging and it would help you not to get tired soon.

It also help you to get enough control overall your breathing system
