Help me out!!

Soo I'm a 22 year old from San Diego. I am close to 300 lbs but I've been able to maintain it right under the 300+ mark.. I don't want to get that heavy, I don't want to be this big to begin with. but now that I am, I wanna start changing this.

I need some help and motivation I guess.

I don't just wanna be able to live a healthier life style, but I wanna be able to look in the mirror and like what I see. I don't like being big because people judge me, thinking that I can't do sports or be active.. I even got people making some fun of me because they ain't as big as me.

But that ends today, I want to change so i can help out other people who also are trying to lose weight..

So first thing is first.... where do I start..

I understand that I should be going to the gym, and when I go i go and work out mostly only on cardio, such as being in the elyptical for about an hour (more or less).. But if I want to lose weight, should i stay in the elyptical and cardio, or what else do I do.. what kind of workout plan should I be doing? what should I be eating? (hopefully that isn't that expensive also)...

help me out..

AWelcome! This forum is a great place to start! I would suggest leafing through diaries and the before and after section for motivation.

Exercising is a great start. I would also suggest looking at your diet. Don't go on a diet...just change your existing one. I use an app/ website called myfitnesspal. It's completely free, and tells you how many calories/nutrients you need everyday. You log your food with it, which has saved my life. It has a huge food database, so you can eat just about anything and still find your calories.

good luck with the start of your journey!! Congrats on making the choice to be a better you!
