HELP me lose 25 kilo!!

Hi,

I am new to this forum so I thought I just say Hi! I have read some of your posts and found that I'm not the only one in the world who suffers from weight gain. I am only 23 and my weight is 80 kilo. That's why I don't have any boyfriend, and I am losing my confidence. :(

I need to lose at least 25 kilo. Need your tips and advice urgently!

Thanks,
Angie

Hey,

Welcome to the forum :waving:

I'm 22 and 75 at the moment...came from 97. Theres lots of people here who have lost more! It is possible :)
What sort of things are you doing at the moment? Also, how tall are you? 55kg sounds very light...
Walking is a great start, and joining up with fitday.com to monitor what you eat and if your getting enough nutrients. Maybe also starting a diary is a great step so you can tell us about your progress :)

Good Luck!

2. Cut processed foods - eat whole foods!

Yes, this was the core of my weight loss program.

With processed foods, it is nearly impossible to not get too much sodium or carbohydrates per day. Both of those things are killers for a weight loss program.

A few weeks back gained 7 lbs in one night just because I had too much soy sauce with my sushi and I had a horrible craving for water afterwards. It was all water weight and went away within 4-5 days of low sodium intake, but still... I learned my lesson hard: My body is even more sensitive to excess sodium now that I am slim (5'10" male, 165lbs). When I was obese, I craved salt and used to easily take in more than 5000mg sodium per day and my weight almost never fluctuated (I had remained at a steady 240lbs for nearly 10 years).

Keeping my sodium to about 1500mg per day, zero simple carbs, and a limit of about 30g complex carbs per day, I managed to lose 75lbs in a year - with no exercise.

You will find plenty of answers on this forum. Try to get on a specific weight loss diet plan customized just for you, or become a member of one of the many weight loss diet programs online or in your area.

I would really keep your meals to 5 - 6 per day with small portions eating every 2 to 3 hours this way it gives your body chance to burn the food and spend up your metabolism.

Eat pleanty of protein and fruit and veg eat some carbs but dont go mad!! we all like bread eh!! I do :)
With the exercise start off small and build up little by little improving each time or going few minutes longer. I really like doing high intensity interval training which continues to burn fat up to 24hrs afterwards.

Poor you! But don't worry you can always get rid of the weight. Then you can have 20 boyfriends :)
Here is what you need to do:
1. Clean your diet - get rid of all fried foods and eat lots of veggies and fruits and lean meats

2. Commit to a workout routine. Do weights and cardio at least three times a week. A good place to check out is Trainerpack.com. Their stuff is completely free and they offer great routines if you are just starting out.

3. Water water water. Drink it before each meal so that your stomach gets full.

4. Get enough sleep. At least 8 hours a day.

5. Cut any alcohol. But I am assuming you are too young to drink a lot ;).

Good luck. Remember you can do it! Just put the time and effort and you will see yourself get healthier in no time. :)

Hi Angie

It’s really important that you begin to set some goals for yourself. It’s good that you know your starting weight but do you have goal weight in mind? And when do you think this realistically you can achieve this weight? It’s important that this goal is realistic because it will give you the confidence that you can reach it. When you know those two things it would be good if you made a list of the reasons why you want to be this weight and the benefits that this will bring into your life.

Spending a little time doing this will help to give you that motivation to reach the goal that you have set for yourself. After this it would be good if you then broke that goal into smaller goals. So in order to reach that goal where do you need to be 1 month from now, 2 months from now? These smaller goals will help you to ensure that you are staying on target and to make changes were necessary.

When you have done all of this, make a list of what changes you need to make in order to achieve these goals. Then make a list of your strengths, the things which will help you to achieve this. These strengths do not always have to be diet related. Have you ever finished a course and did well? Did you past your driving test? Sometimes strengths from other parts of your life can be transferred over to another part of your life and used to help you overcome any difficulties.

Then when you start out on this journey towards achieving your goal weight tell yourself that this is something that you are going to achieve. Don't try to reach these goals because trying is a softer way of saying that you are going to fail.

Also keeping a food diary can be really useful because each week you can review this and if you have reduced your weight then you know that this is working for you. If you have put on some weight or stayed the same you can then look through your food diary and ask yourself some questions. What foods can I cut out next week? What could I eat instead of that? Then follow this and see what happens the following week. Eventually you will begin to find out what works for you and what does not work.

Lose 2 kilograms in 5 days.

Iam following this pattern as suggested by Expert,

Principle: - The Express diet is ideal if you want to lose quickly the extra kilos gained because of the fat and sweets excess. If you have to lose 3-4 kilograms, the Express formula is the ideal one. It was conceived to help you lose weight quickly but without starving. This diet's principles are simple: three meals a day, no fats or sweets, no alcohol, fat dairy products or snacks. In order to get the results you want, you should respect rigorously the game's rule: only three meals a day with a fix time for breakfast and dinner.

Breakfast
- Herb tea or unsweetened coffee.
- 1 yogurt (125 g) or 150g cow cheese, both containing 20% fat. (written on the pack: "Nonfat product".)
- 1 fruit: an orange or a kiwi, half or a cup of sugar free stewed fruits
- Half cup of sugar free corn or maize flakes

Lunch
- Entree made up of vegetables salad with lemon and yogurt
- Second course: a slice of lean meat or fish steamed or grilled. As seasoning: fresh vegetables steamed (salt in small quantities).

Dinner
- Consists of a cup of strained vegetable soup or simple meat consomme, after which you can eat an apple. If you keep the Express diet, it is better to know exactly what aliments can be eaten at any time and which aliments should be banished for good from the daily menu.

Yeah..um..so you are basicly supporting not only a restrictive diet with the mentality that one food plan fits all plus adding to the myth that when you eat even matters...This is not the wisest path to take.

In that instance, the entree would be the second course. Umm, I'm just sayin'.
